Congratulations to UvA Master’s Student, Tessa Trapp, for her historic win in the European Law Moot Court Competition

On Friday 12 April, EU Law Master's student Tessa Trapp won the prize of the best Advocate General in the European Law Moot Court competition in Luxembourg at the CJEU! This is a unique success for the UvA, as no UvA participant has ever won this prize before.
After her victory in the Vienna Regional Finals, Tessa now delivered an excellent, coherent, and convincing opinion at the European Court of Justice, and answered demanding questions of three General Court judges. The judges specifically cited the originality and boldness of Tessa's legal approach as reasons for granting her the prize, apart from her flawless argumentation, detailed knowledge of the law, and her outstanding rhetorical performance.
Her coaches, Assistant Professor of EU Law Sabine Mair and Jesse Peters are extremely proud of her.
